Publishing is another industry poised to take advantage of online video. How we’re inspired to read a book should be no different than how we decide what movie to go see?We produced this “book trailer” for Jawbone Press and drummer Bill Bruford early in 2011. The added exposure across mulitple corporate sites, blogs, music portals, and a few user-generated sites resulted in robust sales almost two years after the book’s initial release date.
Imagine this…you pull out your iPad, watch a short trailer for the new (insert your favorite author’s name) release…LOVE IT….download the book onto your device in about :04, and you’re reading it before the 7:05 pulls out of Grand Central Station.
